Escape is generally the last stop on a night out, the queues are never too big (even on a Sat night) cheap entry (£5) and drinks are pretty cheap. The bar staff are friendly. It's pretty small and cramped but the music is cheesy pop and if you're drunk enough, it's fun. it depends which night you visit (obviously) but... More

Nothing special but if you're after a quiet drink early evening this could be a contender. The décor is minimalist but clay with vintage films on the TV. The drinks list is slim but the atmosphere is pleasant

We went into this bar/club as a straight couple and found this a fantastic fun night!! The other bars around have a lot to learn. Thank you to you all we had a night to remember. They are the friendliest and cheapest bar in the area. We came up from Cornwall for the weekend and have been raving about it... More

We had a great time on a Saturday night at the venue. We stumbled across it by accident to be honest but really enjoyed it. The patrons were all very friendly and we danced our socks off to the eclectic music they played.

Went to a bar on old compton and was advised to go to Escape. The bouncers made fun of us and called us a profane word for gays. .My partner was not happy with it but as I was talking him away the 2 bouncers made fun of us.... On gay pride week, the rainbow flag is trying to attract... More

Took my shoes off to dance and was dragged out the arm by a bouncer who gave me a lot of aggro. Very unimpressed and went home straight after. Terrible night and would definitely not go back!

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
