It doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s an amazing place! The pizzas are out of this world and the service is amazing. We honestly started coming here because it was one of the closest pubs to us but it became our local immediately. I’d like to highlight the whole of Greenwich is just as close (and we tried out all the venues!). During eat out to help out it’s been tough on the usually minimal staff, but my god have they been putting everything in to it. There are a few members of staff here that really excel. Will keep going back! …

Pizzas here are banging, but they're made by Wandercrust who are doing a residency there. They're proper Neopolitan pizzas and also do amazing vegan cheese! The service however, is so bad. The two waiters that served us were so moody and slow, and it took three asks to get our first round of drinks. Everytime we ordered drinks we waited 20 minutes to receive them. And it really doesn't take much to be smiley - the staff were so mopey and had zero interest in providing a good service. It's a real shame because the food is really nice and the atmosphere is good, but definitely don't go here for the service.…

The pizzas here are pretty good but if you like real ale watch out: I was served a pint that was so badly off it tasted like vinegar. The barman poured me a different ale and that one was also rancid. It seems they don't take care of the beer here or change the barrels. The pub itself is a pleasant space with trendy sofas etc. …

I walked into a south east London pub for a pint and saw they was advertising neopolitan pizza. Could it be the real deal? I saw the wood fired oven at the back of the bar, the menu listed the top quality ingredients (sanmarzano tomotoes, fiordilatte mozzarella, neopolitan dough) I decided to try. The pizza is bang on! Authentic neopolitan pizza here in a south east London pub, (the duke) all thanks to Wandercrust serving up these pizzas at the duke deptford and the crown greenwich pubs. What a find! Great quality pizza, the real deal. The true Napoli pizza from Wandercrust! …

The Duke is a great pub. As it is in the student area of Deptford/Greenwich always some great offers on drinks and pizzas. Every time I’ve had a pizza here it’s been delicious. The pub quiz on Sunday night is great fun too! And sometimes they have live bands and entertainment. There is a nice rooftop bar and it’s got a homely vibe about it. As it’s only a few minutes down the road, myself and my partner enjoy coming here for a quick drink if we don’t fancy paying Greenwich prices. Fantastic pub and the staff are always friendly and helpful! My favourite pizza is the America psycho!…
