About
Following hot in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn venue, Brooklyn Bowl London will redefine the destination entertainment experience in London. Our original venue is “One of the most incredible places on earth,” according to Rolling Stone, and Brooklyn Bowl London will follow the same winning format; a premier performance venue, food by famous New York restaurant Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 12 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch great artists playing live on stage.

The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.

Had tickets booked for next weekend but the venue has now closed. No explanation just closed I presume they have gone bust, shame as we were really looking forward to a great night out.

Gone into Receivership
Jan 2017
Was due to go to a concert there tonight 6/1/17. Tickets were purchased back in November. Concert was moved to a different venue at the last minute (lunchtime today) , as the Brooklyn Bowl has gone into receivership.

Birthday Bowl
Dec 2016 • Friends
I have to sum this place up slightly different to my other reviews Security on the door!! Very large building. Fantastic lady at reception. All shoes sizes catered for. Multiple lanes for bowling Child assistance rails for juniors Massive bar Screens all over the place Stage with sound equipment for live music Slow bar service when at your bowling lane, possible quicker to go get drinks yourself Nothing really spectacular about this venue, you've seen one bowling alley you practically seen them all. For me I wouldn't go back, it's way to far to travel to throw a ball at some pins.

Won't be returning
Nov 2016 • Friends
Booked a table to eat food for 8 people for a birthday. Food was ok, nothing amazing and quite pricey. Rang to add on bowling to the booking and was told to just come to the reception after we had finished eating and we can bowl. Well when we done just that we were told there were no lanes left. I spoke to the manager, explained our situation and he said the woman on the phone should not have said that to me. He was able to get us on a lane straight away and we played an hour bowling. Again very over priced as you have to pay for shoe hire as well! Good idea but does not work. Also there were three tribute bands playing which meant you couldn't even talk to people you were with let alone think.

Christmas party
Nov 2016 • Business
We had our annual Christmas party at Brooklyn Bowl and it was fab! Great food served at the lanes, friendly and attentive staff - bearing in mind it was 35 of us and they were busy. Well done guys, we had a great time. Thank you

Decent music venue
Oct 2016
A new addition to London's music scene hosting a great range of music events. They have a good range of beers and alcoholic drinks however the bar can become a bit chaotic when there's a popular event although with patience generally getting a drink is easy. Food is available in the bar as well as the restaurant attached. Note that if there's an event on in the bar a ticket is required and probably need should be pre-booked.

Lame venue lacking a vibrant atmosphere
Nov 2016 • Friends
Have visited twice, both times with free tickets for an event, as this place doesn't seem to be doing as well as I think they would've hoped. The first time was Halloween 2015 for a Cubanisto Beer Event where in the invite info it said you would receive 2 free beers (as it was a promotional event). We received a wristband at the beginning of the night which we were told when it flashed we could go to the bar to get a free drink. Shortly after getting in my wristband started flashing so I went to the bar to get the free promo drink where I was told that it had to not flash, but just stay lit! We asked a member of management on the floor about it and he said he'd get me a new wristband, but I never saw him again that night...It was a very lame promo night as there was a massive sign stating flashing wristbands get a free drink, but I never got to try their beer the whole night as our wristbands never stayed lit and just flashed every so often. We left early because of this as the atmosphere and music was dire and there was no other real reason to stay. The second time was this year for a Freddie Mercury tribute event that I got free tickets for, and again, the venue is too big for the amount of people so it just feels too open to get a buzz going. The drink prices are also extortionate where a beer costs £7.50. They also don't sell any bottled ciders so lost some custom from me for that... I wouldn't recommend this venue as the prices are very high for the location (I would expect them in Central London but not so high in Greenwich) and the atmosphere of the place is dull.

Great Food, Lousy Service
Oct 2016 • Friends
Went to Brooklyn Bowl with 4 friends to eat before attending Mary J Blige concert at O2 Arena. I recommended it to the others because I had visited twice before and had had a great time. We were seated quickly and server came quickly to take our order. There weren't many people dining when we arrived. I have visited BB before and noticed that the menu choices were more limited than on previous visits. The server said that they were trialling a new pared down menu for early diners but, we could still place orders for items that were on the main menu, which is not available until after 7.30pm. A friend and I ordered the Macaroni and Cheese from the smaller menu and Fried Chicken on its own from the other menu. The server didn't show us the other menu but verbally told us how much the chicken would cost. I also ordered a Cuban Mistress cocktail, my friend ordered a shake. Another friend ordered BBQ chicken wings, Mac & Cheese, fries and a cocktail. My other friends ordered salmon and asked for it to be served with fries, instead of mash potato, as listed on the menu. The Mac & Cheese and Fried Chicken arrived quickly along with the wings. The other Mac & Cheese and fries were missing. We had to remind the server 3 times before they were brought to the table. The salmon was also delayed. We all agreed that the food was delicious although we hadn't been happy with the service. When the bill arrived, the chicken was more expensive than the server had told us and we had been charged for items that we hadn't ordered. It took 3 attempts to get the bill corrected thereby missing the start of the show. We were so unhappy at this point, that we didn't pay the service charge.

They don't reply to emails at all
Aug 2016 • Friends
This is an "OK" place, it's hard to contact them by email as they don't ever reply which means you don;t want to risk going there and find they have no availability. Facilities are good, and staff are friendly. Their poor administration earns them a 2/5.
