Wow what a find. We were going to see the Girls at the theatre above so booked in here for dinner. The staff are absolutely lovely. Our friend Trish arrived early and was entertained at the bar by the staff. The food was amazing. I had Goats cheese with peppers for the starter and the chicken Kiev for my main.... More

I love this bar and club. Tucked away, next door to the Phoenix Theatre, this is a great undiscovered gem. It is open till late and you will see actors in here winding down, following a performance. Adorning the walls are posters from plays past and present. It gives you a sense of history and is very nostalgic. The drinks... More

I was taken to this birthday treat by my daughter. She booked it as part of a show package. The dining area is very small and cozy. The food was delicious, I fully recommend the fish and chips. The fish was so fresh and the chips were lovely and crispy. The package included a glass of prosecco. We also had... More

We visited late after the theatres closed and were enjoying a few drinks and a chat with friends. There were a lot of actors in relaxing after work and with the music from the disco it ended up like something out of Fame. What a fantastic night. There is regular live entertainment and the staff are friendly and efficient.

From the moment you walk through the door you transcend into the world of theatre and all its glamour. A fabulous venue, very atmospheric and it certainly gets you in the right mindset for a night at the theatre. We had a warm greeting and was seated at out table and we confirmed we were going to the theatre so... More

I have written a positive review about the Phoenix before and my opinion hasn't changed. The Club is excellent and continues to get better. Great for pre-theatre meals, perfect for an evening with good friends. We love the place.

My wife and I watched Anthony Bourdain on TV in New Zealand before we came to London and he visited and spoke highly of the Phoenix Artist Club. We did not realize that this was filmed a few years back when the old owner was still alive. Well the standard definitely had not slipped totally loved the experience / the... More

ited the Phoenix Artists Club to see the lunchtime performance of "Mozart & Salieri" which was amazing. I was warmly welcomed when I arrived by Peter(who I later found out was the manager)and walking down the grand stairs to a quirky bar/theatre which was so intimate. The walls and ceiling are covered with actors & actresses who have performed here... More

We popped in here prior to going for a meal. We were made exceptionally welcome. The history of the bar is interesting and the walls are covered with memorabilia. There was a fabulous array of drinks at reasonable prices. My one regret is that we didn't stay to eat.

This is a real find. It's so theatrical with pictures all over the walls. It even has its own theatre! Very friendly staff and good service. A small menu of delicious home cooked food and a very buzzy atmosphere. Ideal for pre or post theatre. We had a main course each and shared a starter and the bill came to... More
