The original design lacked sufficient floor area to cope with modern mass transportation, and the original broad arched Victorian station was blighted for decades behind a shabby 1960s prefabricated shed. This was demolished a few years ago and replaced with a glittering, modernist, geodesic half...More

I look forward to going to Kings Cross to admire the architecture, both old and new. There are good facilities for eating and drinking. The process for entering the turnstiles is efficient with plenty open and therefore no rushing (as with Euston!) It is spacious...More

Plenty of shops if you are waiting for a train. Get your picture taken at Gate 71/2 as in the Harry Potter movies. Very modern station completely updated.

King’s cross station is definitely one of the nicest ones in London. A combination of great architecture and a pleasant atmosphere. Although the station itself is safe, some of the streets around it can be a bit dodgy in late hours so do beware.

It's many years since I've been to London, and Kings Cross Station. Being alone and not knowing where I needed to be it became quite confusing. However it has to be said, once I'd found the correct departures board, it became reasonably self explanatory. Be...More

First time getting the train from west Yorkshire to London. When arriving at King's Cross we needed to get the tube. We didn't have a clue what to do and where to go. The lovely staff were on hand and helped us with our tickets,...More

As like all other cities if you are unfamiliar or new to an area then exercise care and stay on main routes with street lighting.
