Visited Charbonnel Et Walker and were warmly greeted by the assistant who explained some of the history of the chocolate store and their signature sweets. We tried the gin truffle, the chocolate truffle and the salted caramel milk chocolate truffle - all delicious! Highly recommend a visit

The atmosphere was awful. The staff were clearly not being looked after by their senior colleagues as they were not the kindest to them, even when there was a customer in the room. The place is tiny and the full selection was not on display so they are clearly not keeping up with stock. It's a shame really because I usually like the products but this visit will make me stop going after 10 years of buying from them.

My eldest sister trained as a beautician round the corner from this wonderful shop in the late 1950s and used to come home sometimes with just two chocolates (for our parents), which was all she could afford. So this was a trip a long way back down memory lane for me. It doesn’t seem to have changed much, if at all, over the decades. The assistant welcomed me in and encouraged me to take photos for my sister. The chocolates look amazing, but so do the prices. Nothing changes! A truly magical place.

Dreamy chocolate? Really? Not better than Harrods confections OR GODIVA for that matter. The store is BEAUTIFUL and not horridly priced. But one bite of the "sugar forward" chocolate, reminiscent of what you get by the ocean at Cape Cod and the let down sets in. Why people would go out of their way to spend money on this product, is beyond me. BUT, service is magnificent and the story is GORGEOUS.
