I made a pre-paid booking for dinner in August and was advised a couple of days beforehand that the venue would not be reopening at the time. I was offered an alternative of “some time in the future” but nothing specific when I enquired. Feeling uneasy about simply giving them my money, I requested a refund. Jonas, on the reservations side, agreed and then ignored all subsequent emails. No refund was forthcoming, so I had to take the case up with PayPal. They’re happy to take your money while staying on furlough, but seem to think they don’t have to provide anything in return for it and can just help themselves. I note I’m not the only person with this issue (see the review below). It’s outrageous that you can make bookings with them, paying in advance, when they have no intention of reopening. Most other restaurants have managed it by now, but my guess is that Medieval Banquet are more interested in making a cash grab and then likely closing for good. Even if they do reopen, when they’ve treated paying customers in such a fraudulent manner I clearly won’t be going back. …

The event was cancelled by them a week before it had to take place. Struggling on receiving a refund. 3 weeks past and nothing. If you are rich enough and don't care about the money - buy tickets from them. But if anything happens at their side and they will have to cancel the event, you can forget about a refund.…

This place in credible! From the decor, the food and drink and the entertainment it feels like a medieval banquet! The costumes you can rent are a nice touch that help you get into the theme of it all while it doesn't feel like you're splurging too much money just for it (it's ten pounds to rent a costume). Special thanks to the lovely and wonderful Lisa the Wench who was a great laugh, she educated us in the ways of the banquet, where you bang on the table if you like the entertainment or scream out Wench! if you want service! This was definitely worth the price for the tickets and I would happily go there again.…

Attended the medieval banquet with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and so into just having fun. Our lovely wench, Lisa, was fully attentive and very chatty. The food was great and we were near to bursting by the time the dessert arrived. The disco was great fun and the fact you could rent costumes and buy props and bits and bobs was the cherry on top. Highly highly recommend!…

No clapping allowed but banging your hands down on the table is acceptable. Our wench was friendly and willing to engage, the entertainment was good and so was the food.
