Neighbourhood: Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

Great architecture
Sep 2018 • Solo
A very interesting addition to the Parliament. Spectacular interior, good cafe, nice arts (not allowed to take pictures of). I’ve visited it during Open London ‘18 and thus didn’t attend a regular tour, but I have no doubt those tours are highly interesting and entertaining

Satisfying day!
Oct 2018 • Business
Easy access for disabled people, remember this is a high security government building! Repsenting my charity today was an honour & made greater knowing a victory is in sight.

Open house london - 50 minutes queue in the wind
Sep 2018 • Friends
Yes the building's atrium and portraits of leaders are interesting. was it worth 50 minutes of queues waiting in the wind around the building on Open House? Not so much.

Wonderful, light, airy building with great art work
May 2018 • Business
I so much enjoyed visiting Portcullis House for a meeting here and was very impressed indeed with the building itself which is wonderfully light and airy. One can walk through the corridors appreciating art work relating to famous politicians and political events of the past. In general terms in the facilities are excellent. Security at the entrance is 'airport style' and security staff are impressively polite and welcoming. Overall it was an extremely interesting and worthwhile experience.

Quick Visit Prior To Visit To Westminster
Feb 2017 • Couples
Visited here when I was on part of an organised trip to Westminster & Elizabeth Tower.
Security (as you would expect) is tight as you go in.
We had about 45mins prior to meeting guide so was able to walk around this bright airy building.
Very modern & full of meeting rooms.
People looking & feeling important hurrying around & setting up various meetings.
What struck me was "what on earth do all these people do ?!"
From what I could see, unless you had an arranged meeting there was nowhere to get a coffee or any refreshments.
Interesting visit.

Great Meeting Place
Nov 2016 • Business
Great place for a meeting. Bright and airy inside. The security staff were efficient and friendly without being obtrusive. There can be queues at busy times so be prepared to wait if necessary.

Need Water otherwise Good
Sep 2016 • Solo
Good facilities in general. If you go to a session you may find it hard to find drinking water. Hydrate before entry.

Great building
Feb 2016 • Business
It is a working building, but still manages a wow factor. Inside has great natural light and is nice for lunch. The meeting rooms are functional but still have a parliamentary feel to them.
