What a fabulous find. Was taken here by friends and had a brilliant night. It’s a real old east end pub with no pretentions. Nice staff , wine... one red one white. Decent beer . Top that off with a four piece band of men of a certain age singing frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett numbers and occasionally a modern Neil Diamond and its a perfect combination. Very mixed age group too which was nice

This is a good place for drink just by the canal if you catch it when it's open. Cash only and only bar snacks to eat

Legendary staff and musicians, friendly atmosphere, anyone who can sing can get up and give a song. Amy Winehouse started here, the décor hasn't changed since the war and they have high quality Havana Club rum. Bring cash. as the till is run on gas and if you want to spend the whole night on your phone - forget it. This is a pub for real people, who want to chill out in good company, have a song and a conversation.

The Palm Tree pub sits in splendid isolation by the Regents Canal. The area around it has been redeveloped leaving a traditional pub behind. The pub serves well kept real ales. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A traditional east end London pub.

It should be so easy to understand this pub...If you want a tourist or gentrified London experience whilst walking along Regents canal, then continue as this is not gonna suit you, and there are plenty more places further along that will...You can bitch about the decor , moan about the landlord, yet this is exactly what most would claim to be seeking, a real East End pub...few of which have survived the local remodelling and huge hikes in rates etc that go with it...The Palm Tree is what it is,,it is famous for the jazz legends that have played there for decades, it is famous as a film set, so your soda and limes a bit pricy, , so go to starbucks ,your coffee is simalar price...The guvner is a bit random, yet a font of knowledge if you want to know the history of this area, this place has not survived when most others have failed by overcharging tourists for lime and soda..think about it...get real or dont stop ..its that simple..
