Event cancelled without any information, people waiting outside in the cold in front of the door which never opened. No information on the door, no information on the website, no possibility to contact them by phone and they are no replying to emails. Very disappointing. A simple paper on the door notifying the event is cancelled would have been appreciated by everybody waiting outside for nothing......

Nells is one of those very few places left that allow you to step back in time and enjoy the ambience of great music and great personality.

Went to see Steve Harley here for the first time - if you want to get a good seat arrive early and you will get one. It is like a giant living room so where ever you are - you are very close to the act. I would say a max of 200 in here - can’t complain about the venue apart from one thing. Now as Steve Harley is a 70’s icon it wouldn’t take too much working out that most of the custom would be around 60-70 years of age - and what do most males of that age drink - real ale! Not a drop in the bar - not even a bottle - come on Nell’s get your act together - venue 9/10 - bar manager 2/10. If I went again which I would - I would get some ale elsewhere.
