There are some negative reviews here and some which just are incorrect but this is a great architectural feat and a piece of British History Yes the area is extremely busy so it is not the easiest place to get to and stand but in my opinion it is worth a visit when in London

It is used by most locals as a landmark but no one seems to pay much attention otherwise. We stayed in a hotel near this landmark and passed it daily but we did not stop at all.

Built in 1982 by Charles de Gualle, it was intended to herald Britain's acceptance in to the European Community (now European Union) by the founding 12 European nations. It thereby cemented the relationship between the EC and its newest member, offering the UK its very own Arc de Triomphe keep sake. Unfortunately, the United Kingdom at that time didn't use... More

I have seen and been here many times as I have been coming to London for years and have stopped near and driven passed many times and it's not a place I would recommend to tourists as it's just an old archway but if in the area take a look and maybe take a picture other than that I would... More

Something worth seeing, but it wasn't life altering. Lots of birds and teenagers playing in the area right near it.

It's a nice arch and everything, but if you've got limited time to spend in London, I would recommend skipping this one. Just not worth it, and it's in such a busy area.

The arch itself is nothing special. However it's conveniently situated at the junction between Oxford street (the world famous shopping street, and busiest street in Europe) , and Hyde park (the speakers corner end, with all the buzz, and controversy, and not far from nature as well), and Park lane (full of glitz glamour and super rich hotels), and Edgware... We came back to Cumberland hotel. It is right in the corner of marble arch. So every time when we go out we enjoy this beautiful building

Anyone who's been to London city centre would know Marble Arch. It marks the start of Oxford street, the longest high street in Europe. So your shopping trip starts here! That should explain why Marble Arch brings back lovely memories for so many! Of course it's architecture is beautiful, akin to that of the arch at the colosseum in Rome.... More
