A great park in central Whitby. A very good play area for young children. Better than some in larger cities. Very safe and clean with interesting equipment for the children. Toilets are available in the nearby museum but sadly no cafe.

A beautiful park at anytime of the year. Areas for a quiet walk through the arches or a place to take the children to get rid of some energy. The children play area is wonderful

The park is not very big but nicely laid out with some good features spread about. The flowers will be glorious in the spring / summer and pleasant to smell. In the middle of the park is a museum of local artist and photography to which its free for locals... As a family we choose Whitby as a close day out trip mainly because it hasn't been overly spoiled by amusements, although there are some but not much. After a trip up to the abbey, mooch around the quaint shops below the abbey and lunch we burn off some energy in Pannett Park. Even though the museum wasn't open the... More

I would imagine that this park is stunning in summer, but even in winter it is worth a visit. We spent a couple of hours watching the squirrels, which were almost tame, and came up very close to us.

Walked around Pannett Park, all be it in the rain!, as a landscape gardener I can safely say don't miss the park. So many paths and separate areas with borders, seating with various views of the gardens and the town and harbour, the art museum is at the top and well worth a visit. It must be said how clean... I will say I am biased as I live next to this park. There is something for everyone to enjoy here. My husband and I enjoy the museum with it's interesting artefacts quite often there are local painters exhibitions. Walking through the park there is so much to see, lovely statues and memorials, a beautiful floral clock. There are plenty... More
