A super day out, made all the better for the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped make history come alive with their stories about the house. Each room has its own story to tell and while the great hall isn't original, it's nevertheless impressive.

Frank Green donated this house (actually three houses knocked into one) to the National Trust with the stipulation that nothing should be moved. As this is National Trust we decided to visit, especially as the weather was not good that day. It is definitely worth a visit as it is extremely interesting. Filled with beautiful furniture and portraits. The guides are very knowledgeable. If you have a chance go on the Cellar Ghost Walk.

I had a very nice time there. I could imagine that Treasurer's life was great! Room decorations was fantastic! Cafe was good too. Escape the city and relax at there. Definitely 5 stars.

Visited with family and had a great time. Interesting and well kept with well informed volunteers throughout the house. The garden was very attractive with spring flowers in full bloom. A great open space for younger children, and an inspired trail for older children to complete.
