A good place to spend an afternoon. Very interesting with much to see and do. I'd particularly recommend the WW1 rooms. Also great are the reform prison areas. Our teenage girls loved the Toy Story.

The museum is excellent. The history is fantastic. The old street exhibit is so realistic. Very helpful staff if you needed questions answered. You need lots of time to see everything as it's such a big museum.

Walked through both sides of the exhibitions in the castle museum. Interesting interactive exhibits including a late 20th Century Kitchen which looked eerily like our old kitchen when we moved into our house in 1994. The second half of the Museum and the fact that...More

Spent ages in this wonderful museum, it's absolutely fascinating. The gentleman in the suit and top hat was extremely knowledgable and looked very dapper! Well worth a visit for young and older visitors.

There isn't a seniors discount at the York Castle Museum but because my Grand daughter went in for free the £10.00 seemed very reasonable to me, we spent a good 2 hours in there with lots to see and interact with, good value... More
