This is a quirky little street with a lot of history behind it and it gets very busy as it is quite narrow.

You can't visit York without going to the Shambles. Old world streets and buildings - taking you back in time.

Just a nice old lane, with lovely period buildings, and a variety of shops of all types. Inc a Harry Potter shop for those who like that. Good tea rooms, leads into other shopping areas.

Another not to miss in York, besides it`s on the way to the Minstrel. Narrow cobble stone streets, lots of unique shops and not as expensive as it looks. Well kept Tudor buildings, lots of history and it`s free and lots of fun.
