Before you come, read about it so that you'll appreciate what you're seeing. It's a simply fabulous home filled with priceless artifacts and art. The grounds are lovely, there's a decent cafeteria and it was the site of a good deal of the best version...More

A great day - all the staff just lovely and so informative - really adds to the experience. The chapel was fantastic and should not be overlooked.

The drive up to the castle was the best thing about the whole visit. There was not a lot to see considering the cost - didn't realise that a lot of the property was destroyed in a fire in 1940. On a plus side though...More

This is a real castle with the family still living in part of it while sharing it with the public. The art collection there -- which includes Roman and Greek statuary plus many, many famous paintings -- has been valued at 189 pounds! The dining...More

It's about half an hour by car. Not sure for other forms of transport. There is a car park and overflow.
