The station at York is a wonderful welcome to the city. It is easy to navigate around, and the staff are very friendly. The station is great to walk around while you are waiting for your train.

The good first- we left at 8:30am Thursday with no problems at all. Asked questions, directed where to go. The bad- found our way to taxis stand. Waited in a long line, not efficient. Could have walked faster if we knew the way. Driver not friendly. He seemed miffed to pick us up. Didn't say anything. Maybe new to area... More

This is a must-see for ALL, but particularly train fanatics. While trains are the major highlight, this museum covers the history of surface transportation. There are several areas of the museum. The main room contains the magnificent engines from long ago. The central part of the room has a huge working platter which demonstrates how engines would be turned in... More

Our fifth visi,t the daily dairy is well planned, so one is able to fit in quite a few site. The volunteer staff are very good. The miniature train ride for kiddies and accompany adults was so enjoyed by the family. However one train ride is only available over the weekend as it is run by volunteers.

The railway station bridge is stunning and Iconic. It was used in the Harry Potter film. The station has adequate amenities and friendly helpful staff. There is direct access from the station to the National Railway Museum

I had to switch trains at York as I was travelling to Nottingham. Panicking slightly as we got to York late and I was worried I would miss my 14:02 connection. I was informed the 14:02 wouldn't leave until the one I just got off left as it's next stop was London Kings Cross. I was relieved to see all... More

We visited this branch ,mistake. The chicken royale we ordered came as a chicken tender crisp when we queried this we were told that was a chicken royale( not in other branches of Burger King) asked for a strawberry milkshake ,don't do them was the reply. Definitely will avoid this outlet in future.

Opted to go to York on the park and ride as was meeting my daughter off the train. Could get to the platform easily and then good left luggage place just outside the station £6 per item.

Well laid out station. Several amenities. Helpful staff. Clean toilets. Taxi rank just outside main door. Less than a 10 minute walk into centre of York. Pity about the bar which is expensive and unwelcoming but that is not the fault of the station.

Big station, our first visit here. But well impressed....all our trains were on time. The station is well organised, well signed and easy to follow to get from one platform to another. We caught the train at Harrogate to York, which was only 38 mins and very convenient, no car parking to woory about. The cost was amazingly cheap £12.70... More
