Partially hidden behind Goodramgate, this church is a remarkable survival with its box pews and undulating floor. There is also some very impressive medieval stained glass. The volunteer guides are very helpful and informative.

This little old church tucked in a cozy courtyard behind busy Goodramgate Street is a hidden gem of York. Its vaulted interior, old stone walls and beautiful stained glass windows still look like in the medieval ages. Never expected to see this treasure right across...More

A facinating return to earlier times with well guided help one can touch English history over 500 years or more. Hidden away at the corner of Goodramgate and High Pavement, it is well worth seeking out.

I have always loved this church, I call it the wobbly church as I love the crooked pews and floors, it's so atmospheric and peaceful and a perfect escape from modern life

Came across it by accident. It's simplicity and it's box pews were beautiful. It's off Goodramgate and very peaceful.

we popped in to this church just to be nosey at what everyone else was doing and i am glad we did. It was a very interesting place to visit and a bit of history that has been lost in many other places.

Just a few steps off busy Goodramgate is this old church with its box pews, an oasis of calm amidst the bustle. Uncommercialised.

Hello, It should take you around 10 minutes to reach us on foot from the station. The easiest route would be to turn left out of the station, cross the river, and keep walking straight on towards York Minster. When you... More
