This tour is suitable for all ages, but be advised that the guide does not "hang about" and sets quite an energetic pace through the City. The guide is very theatrical and encourages his audience to participate, on this hour long tour. As previous Reviewers have mentioned, a male & a female volunteer are selected fairly early on and are... More

My wife and I have been talking about doing a ghost walk in York for sometime, our friends had been on one in February and had really enjoyed it so last-night we joined the Ghost hunt of York. It was very good, the gentleman leading it was brilliant and kept the whole session interesting and entertaining. Not too scared for... More

There are a few of these and I read this was the best. The guide was so funny and loved his character. Good for all ages!

You need to take these ghost walks in the manner they are meant. This one was entertaining, yet gave a lot of historical information during the course of the walk.

Met at the shambles at 7.30pm on a very rowdy Saturday evening, (about 50 of us) He was dressed the part, in black cloak and top hat( he didn't tell us his name...said it was unimportant!) He had a good strong voice so you always heard him above the pub goers. 4 ghost stories were told in around 1 hr... More

The man that leads the Ghost Hunt tour is quite a character. He does an excellent job bringing drama and humor to the tour. Overall it was worth the few quid.

Very good fun and entertaining. Enjoyed it very much. The guide was great. Only costs 5-6 pounds depending if you have a coupon. Fun way to spend an hour walking around York and learning a few facts.

Three minutes in he made jokes at an audience member and continued to point him out the next thirty minutes (we left at 30min). He asked for upfront payment without really engaging us. There was one girl who walked off at this point and I wish it was us. Not worth £12 when there are sooooo many other great ones... More

Did this ghost walk on Saturday night, along with around 25 other people who met at the Shambles at 7:30pm. It costs £6 per adult, £3 for children. The first ten mins is taken up with gathering payment and then you're off! For a gentleman getting on in years, he didn't hang about! You are led through the streets of... More
