We probably took an hour or so in the house and then half an hour in the gardens/lake as there isnt much to see. We were only there slightly longer than 2 hours because we had lunch in the cafe which is nice.

We booked online - much easier>. If you look at the booking site, it'll tell you when Althorp is open.
