While visiting Hexham we wandered into the abbey which was free of charge. The interior was absolutely stunning and filled with historic artefacts, the abbey itself is beautiful and a visit is fully recommended!

A gem of a Cathedral. St Wilfred's Chair surprising and the 1000 year old chalice delightful. Sorry the crypt wasn't open but I think we only had to ask.

Visited the Abbey a couple of days ago. Very interesting. Lots to see and an interactive exhibition about how the Abbey evolved. Went into the crypt to see which Wilfrid created. Free to go in. Staff are all very informative and helpful.

Exceptional, very well preserved abbey. Lots of roman items and the guide was very informative and really helped bring the experience to life. Don't miss the crypt, which isn't obvious, but well worth a visit
