Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak in particular, are a must if you are from out of the area. £3:00 per car to park for the day is good value. This is a lovely area to walk and perhaps venture into nearby Edwinstowe. The Major...More

I have been visiting Sherwood Forest since I was little, I now take my children. My children love walking round the woods and really enjoy walking round the centre. Highly recommend it for a nice woodland walk.

I think 7 - 11 year olds are ideal ages for sherwood pines: cycling, walking, things to do on the way round and loads of room for a picnic, football, rounders and other games. I think there's a 'Go Ape' too. It's a great... More
