Our first visit to this theatre. It was a smaller venue than I was expecting but for an evening of stand up comedy it was ideal making for a more convivial atmosphere. Sitting in the stalls we had a good view of the stage. Seating...More

Had not been to the Playhouse before. It was a spur of the moment decision during a recent visit to Nottingham. What a hidden gem. The theatre, staff and the play(the Cherry orchard) are first class. Would certainly visit again when in the area. Had...More

A very atmospheric and moving production of 'The Cherry Orchard', especially the first half which was done to perfection. Both the tragic and the comic elements of the play were enacted well without jarring. The acting was convincing and at times incredibly moving. A couple...More

This theatre has a really wide range of productions and shows, all of which have been of a very high standard so far. I can’t think of a single visit where we’ve had poor seats. Ensure you join up to their mailing list for notification...More

I have attended numerous shows at this venue, there are comfortable seating and great views wherever your seated. Friendly staff always keep events running smoothly & there is an excellent if a little pricey cafe bar attached to the venue.

regrettably, this theatre is still second best to the Theatre Royal for everything except the Panto. The Crime Season moved here due to refurbishment at the Theatre Royal was excellent, but the venue was poor in terms of seating and the interval drinks were hopeless....More

Booked many times at this venue and have never been disappointed. Seen Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham-Carter, John Gordon Sinclair amongst many others. Great place - very welcoming - nice food too. Highly recommended as a theatre space. Great for Shakespeare and the classics!

Came last night to watch the MADD gala showcase and graduation. Collected tickets at box office and staff were friendly and fast. There is a lift for those that need it and the staff were helpful with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking. A...More

No dress code so if you have not been to the theatre before do not be intimidated by feeling you have to dress up. That said, its always good to make something of the occasion so "smart casual" should suffice. Personally I... More
