On a visit from Australia. Whilst the other half was shopping in 'intu Broadmarsh' shopping centre and surrounds I took the opportunity to check out the caves. There are regular guided tours or self guided audio tours at any time the place is open. Luckily...More

It's a simple 45-60 minute tour, it's a little piece of local history. Worth the visit and the staff are very friendly.

It was ok, nothing to brag about, it only took 45 minutes to go through everything. Things were interesting and for what it is, its reasonably priced as well.

This is well worth a visit. You don hard hats for the walk through the caves where you see a different world and explore the social history of the caves. There is an underground tannery, old slum houses and an air raid shelter which was...More

This was an interesting trip, the guides were informative. Something that was a little unusual. There were children on the Tour who really found it good

Are the caves claustrophobic?

Hi, As the caves were designed for living and working in, most areas are large, however there is one low doorway where everyone will need to duck down. At no point are you crawling around for example. Hope that helps.
