Our choice for our last morning on a short city break. We could see it was a lovely asset for the city. Beautifully maintained, very clean, and some interesting points of interest. Sadly we found the lack of information on the trees something of a disappointment.

This is a lovely park to walk through, and we felt very relaxed. There are lots of benches to sit and enjoy the quiet for a while.

Had a lovely walk around here. Stayed in a hotel close by and found it by accident. Lovely, peaceful place. I would recommend downloading the tree trail.

After the city tour we was getting the tram back to our hotel and decided to jump off to have a look at The Arboretum. Very glad we did as it was beautiful and very well cared for. a peaceful little haven on the outskirts of the city

Visited the Arboretum to watch Tony Hadley perform, plenty of options for food and drink, well set-up and the sound system was great to hear his fantastic voice in a beautiful setting, well recommended for a visit or to hear an outdoor concert.

As my twin brother Stephen and I were staying in The Premier Inn along Goldsmith Street so The Arboretum was only a few minutes walk away, we had got up early on a Tuesday morning, we went The Gooseberry Bush Pub ( Wetherspoon pub ) for breakfast and then we went over to The Arboretum for a nice walk around this green oasis of calm.
We enjoyed a coffee in Arboretum Cafe, great cafe housed in a beautiful little Victorian cottage building, we then explored the beautiful well kept grounds of The Arboretum.
Loved it ,great seeing an army of park keepers busy at work keeping the grounds in perfect condition, enjoyed viewing the lovely Chinese Bell Tower and The Old Rose Gardens, just a beautiful walk in a beautiful garden area of Nottingham, a wonderful start to our second day in Nottingham, its easy to locate along Waverley Street, tram drops you off directly outside The Arboretum.

We visited the arboretum to watch “Arboretum Sunsets” with Richard Thompson. Great way to see live music. Shame the toilets don’t exist ! Must make it very difficult for visitors who aren’t close by.
