Dinosaurs and larger animal bones and models naturally attracted younger children's attention. For my (unusual) children, they actually could relate a lot more and liked this a lot more than Pitts River! Park on roadsides. Park and display- 2-3 hours depending on which side road you stop.

Being very fond of natural history museums, I couldn't resist this one when visiting Oxford. And I wasn't disappointed. It is small, but well worth a visit. A very nice exhibition in a beautiful building. And remember to take a closer look at the stone pillars when visiting the museum, they are not only there to keep the roof from... More

This is an excellent, if somewhat unmodern natural history museum. They highlight the work of a number of well known naturalists, and are not particularly concerned with whether their interpretations are politically correct. Still, it has excellent, materials and is well worth the visit.

I loved this museum, really good displays and information that were engaging and good trails for kids to follow and interact with. Lots of exhibits of all different things and a coffee shop with a view! (of the interior)

An excellent museum with marvellous exhibits and many educational displays and information. The dinosaur skeletons are superb, and there are intelligently displayed taxidermy animals and birds, plus insects with good information about them all.

An amazing museum, easy 5 minute walk from Oxford city centre. What a fantastic building! Plenty of natural light to view all the exhibits, those displayed around the outer walls are in a time line, showing the different geological periods on this earth.if it has walked, swum or flown, the museum probably has a skeleton or re-made example of it in...
