Wadham is named after its original benefactor Dorothy Wadham, member of an ancient Devon and Somerset family. Its central building is notable for its fine Jacobean architecture, including the hall dating from 1610-13. Not all of the original Jacobean woodwork, however, survives in the chapel....More

We were walking though the city centre and saw - most unusually a sign at the entrance saying "open". Most Oxford colleges signify the opposite, which is understandable as they are working colleges. We walked through the quad, had a look at the gardens and...More

We walked through and around what we could of the college on a Sunday and loved what we saw. These colleges are of immense historic (and educational) interest and are obviously appreciated by visitors to Oxford. The church was particularly beautiful and the tiled floor/altar...More

Spent a weekend at Wadham College when visiting Oxford for a conference located at another one of the colleges. Lovely place to stay and would return. Staff could not have been more helpful, breakfast was excellent and the accommodation silent and well equipped. Highly recommended.

Was part of a business trip held on the site and also booked to stay within the college. Rooms are basic but fitting with the surroundings and have everything you need. Food was absolutely first class and the service and staff, excellent.

Wonderful university buildings around a well tended main quad. With a beautiful chapel and gardens. Dating from the early 1600's the architecture is beautiful. Attended by Sir Christopher Wren.

If you go to the Wadham College website, click on the 'Visit us' tab, then the 'Staying and entertaining' tab (just under the main picture showing blossom in the quad) and then click on the 'Bed and Breakfast' link.
