On entering the pub it smelt like a toilet. The women's toilets were smelly and unclean. There was liquid on the toilet floor, not sure what it was???? The hand drier didn't work and there were no hand towels, I had to use toilet paper....More

We visited the pub as a family after a New Year's Eve shopping trip; my husband had previously been there for a retirement 'do' and said it was nice. My son's beer tasted of soap, (probably the glass hadn't been rinsed properly after washing); we...More

A big group of us went for dinner and then when some of us went to order at the bar at 7:32pm they claimed they had closed the kitchen at 7:30 - which is unreasonably early for dinner- and refused to serve us since we...More

Looks a bit more like a café than just like a pub but the beer selection is great and you had always nice company there. Most people are students who want to surf on the web or read a book while having a nice pint.

I had heard good things about this pub, but it really was not up to scratch. It is okay if you just want a quick stop, but there have been a couple of occasions where you walk in and just get starred at by the...More

I have been to this pub on many occasions over the last few months. It has a great selection of Ales and Beers. The staff I have found friendly and knowledgeable about the Ales and Beer's. Free Wi-Fi there is also helpful . Loads of...More

Far From The Madding Crowd was a disappointment. It is spacious, and in a nice location, so has real potential. If only those in charge made the effort to improve the public house and make it a better first time experience for visitors like myself....More
