Well maintained historic, relaxational and respectful place. Maintenance seems to be supported by Community Payback...some individuals seemed really engaged with the task, others not at all.

Thank Jock M

Nice to find such a nice open space within the town centre where you can sit quietly and watch the world go by on a sunny day. Gardens, statues and structures well maintained,

We go to the park quite a few times during the summer, on a sunday there are bands that play in the bandstand, there is a small cafe for soft drinks, tea/coffee etc.

A rather noisy lunch in the park, but it was the start of the summer holidays. The gardens are quite well kept, with pretty flower beds. There are plenty of benches, and some in shaded areas. I'm sure it's much more peaceful in term time,...More

We were very happy to find this restaurant in the busy town of reading. The price was good at 19.95 pound for 2 courses. Lovely setting with attentive staff. The 4 of us were very happy with our food.

A nice enough park to visit especially in summer when there are events happening. It's got nice spots to picnic with friends and is a bit away from the town centre but not too far if you want to go somewhere afterwards.

At Forbury Gardens? It's a public garden, so just walk around and enjoy its beauty. If you want specific tips about other bits of Reading, feel free to ask - I live here.
