Quasar, Laserzone, Laser Tag... It's the all weather laser adventure quest! Opened in 1999, Quasar Sheffield has entertained well over 1,000,000 players of all ages at its city center venue - a 5000 square foot themed indoor playing arena (the biggest by far in Sheffield!) with lighting effects, smoke, sound effects and music. Quasar is a great physical activity for the young and the young at heart, and unlike bowling, you are active for the whole game not just when it's 'your go'! Played indoors & an all weather activity, Quasar can be played either in teams (team de3ath match) or as individuals (free for all), minimum number needed for a game is 2 players and the maximum is 28. Before you play you will get a full briefing including safety rules - then you will be sent into the arena on a mission to have FUN! The idea is to zap other players and destroy their base - all done with a harmless laser gun! You get points for zapping enemies and lose points when you get zapped. Every player will receive a personal scorecard that tells them just how well (or badly!) they did. "A futuristic, live action, 'shoot em up' - like being the star in your own sci-fi action thriller or video game!" Quasar is great for birthday parties, staff nights out, school trips, youth groups and any other occasion where fun is on the menu. We have great value birthday party packages from just £8.95 per person as well as special discounts for students and large groups. Also on site: ZapZone, the only under 7's laser adventure in South Yorkshire. Please visit our website for more fantastic deals and money saving offers. Quasar is located in the city centre of Sheffield, on the corner of bank Street, just down the road from the Castle Square tram stop.

Best party ever! Kids had a blast, the guy who was explaining everything was excellent. We hired the buffet room for an extra fiver which was excellent as it saved us a small fortune by being able to do our own food

Although the venue itself could do with some serious TLC - starting with the toilets, which are only marginally better than those at a rock festival - I challenge anyone to go away from taking part in a couple of games of Quasar with anything...More
