It is an amazing piece of engineering and great to see. The toll house exhibition is very explanatory and the attendant was most helpful and informative.

A must see when in the area. This was the first iron bridge built, and therefore has a lot of historic interest. The tollhouse has a small but informative museum.

Well worth a visit to see the bridge and learn about its history. The surrounding cafes, shops and museums make for a great day out and a stroll along the river is well worth it to take in the beautiful scenery.

Ironbridge is a wonderful little town with its cafes and restaurants to ice cream shops, old fashioned sweet shops, fish and chips and many other gift shops. Ironbridge is only a small town but well worth a visit, better if the sun is shining.

The bridge is an awesome testament to the ingenuity of Thomas Telford. We walked to the gorge museum which gives an overview of the area. Entry was included in a passport with other Ironbridge area attractions.

Stopped by to view the famous bridge after a weekend in Telford. We could not going home without seeing it really! 'Just a bridge' and not as big as I thought, but you can't help taking about 100 photos of it from different angles, and being in awe of the feat of engineering that it is. Ironbridge itself is like... More

The iron bridge is a wonderful structure. You can walk over it, under it and take photos from every angle. It was the only bridge over the river Severn to survive a great flood in the 18th century (the flood levels are marked in the nearby museum). An iconic structure and testament to early engineering.
