Well laid out rooms and cases of uniforms and medals. So much detail shows the dedication which the curators and volunteers have given to this project. Also of interest is the history of the castle, with the main hall being used for council meetings, with some of the original solid wood furniture on display. Helpful and informative volunteers on hand.

We took our teenage children to visit the castle, having been married there 20 odd years ago, and finally decided to see the military museum. Just as well we did, what a find, remarkable history and very well laid out and presented. Fascinating history, artefacts and setting. Well worth the visit.

A must see if in shrewsbury. Great displays of history takes from 90 to 120 minutes to amble around as you enter where prices are displayed it says serving members of HM forces get free entry. I asked about the new veterans ID and was given free entry when I showed mine

We had a really interesting visit to the museum. The staff are really helpful and friendly pointing out interesting facts and info that you wouldn't know without their help. If anyone offers to help take them up on it and ask about star wars link

We took our sons to visit this museum to give them a sense of history from another side rather than what is in text books, they really enjoyed the experience.

Very friendly staff, making the most of a small venue which wants to show so much.

Worth a visit.

Visited here this afternoon and can thoroughly recommend it. The museum is full of interesting displays, covering the history of the Shropshire Regiment. We were lucky enough to be there when there was a talk by one of the museum directors about the evolution of the rifle over the last three hundred years. This was a highlight of the visit, as his knowledge and enthusiasm brought the subject to life, and he is full of interesting facts. Will definitely be returning.

We were tracing our family tree and the staff were brilliant.
Eve did some research for us and i was extremely grateful! Very pleased 😀.

The museum is brilliant and there's lots to see, the grounds and the buildings are beautiful.
We listened to a talk about guns , the man was extremely knowledgeable and answered our questions.

We will be back next year!

Thank you
