What a stunning location for walking and bird spotting. The light is superb for photography, especially at evening or dawn.

Visited on Bank Holiday Monday, and even though it was busy there was still room to park, and room to enjoy yourself. The views across the lake are stunning, a great place to walk with your camera.

Very picturesque. Plenty of parking but not free. Some disabled spaces, We ate outside on tables provided for picnics, and sampled some fairly decent fish and chips at a reasonable price. There is a fairly big 'sit down' restaurant in the room that used to...More

Had a nice couple of hours , very good facilities. Cafe was very busy for February day. We where there to visit the the optic shop to purchase binoculars. Very helpful staff . The only downside l don't see why you have pay for parking.

Yes , there are plenty of picnic tables . If you go to the second car park , about half a mile past the main entrance to the visitor centre there are picnic tables, less crowds and large grassy areas to sit .

I know that one can fish with a permit on both Chew Valley Lake and on Blagdon Water (the next door lake) - further info is available on the Bristol Water Fisheries Website (google search fishing on Chew Valley Lake)
