A must see destination you have to be there just to feel the amazing atmosphere. Its hard to explain the atmosphere with the sandstone smell, the corrigated cobblestones the steam from the hot water the aging process etc. I was in ore, such an old historic place to be finally here and able to stand in the main courtyard bath... The Roman Baths are a great way to look into British history. The way the tour is set out is brilliant. It is very factual and you get to get up close with the baths. There is a lot to see, there are escorted tours also, you can join these at certain points around the building, and it will state... More

I first visited the Roman Baths in 1960 with my grandparents. I was very excited then and must say in the 56 years since then the experience has only improved and deepened. I was particularly impressed with the accompanying museum and the parts of the Bath that weren't opened when I was 10. I would highly recommend this if you're... More

We thought the entry fee to the Roman Baths would be just to see the main bath, but it was much more! The audio guide was incredibly detailed and there was so much information on the history of the area. Definitely try and go early as the lines can get big, and parts of the tour can be congested. We... More

We used the audio trail to guide around is site. It was full interesting little snippets to help you get a full picture of what it would have been like when it was built and used.

We just loved our tour of the Roman Baths and learning so much about how the ancient Romans lived and what they believed in. The tour guides were both knowledgable and informative. Following a tour of the baths there is also an exhibition area which you can move through at your own pace and enjoy a taste of the water... More

This was a truely outstanding museum and tour. We last came over 30 years ago and this place is immensely better. The Coleseum and Palatine hill would do well to have a look at how this museum has been set up.

A "must visit" attraction if you're in Bath. It's well laid out and informative with lots to see. The commentaries in the audio guide are good with different version for children and adults. There is also the added bonus of commentary from Bill Bryson at certain point which is a nice touch.

A fantastic place to spend a morning. We spent just over two and a half hours as there was so much to see and listen to on the audio guides. The actual baths were amazing to see and the way they have reconstructed bits around makes you start to understand how they were used in Roman times. There were lots... More
