Near to Cheddar, a great spot for a walk. I did 2 circuits. No refreshments or toilets available and parking was busy and difficult to find

Follow signs for car park, lovely walk, lots of wildlife as well as sheep and horses. Dogs welcome but need to be on the lead if the sheep are grazing on the side of the reservoir itself. would definately visit again

We chose a beautiful sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed our walk all around the perimeter of the reservoir. The views are stunning and a sunny day with clear blue skies made it more enjoyable! Car parking was free and the footpath was even and level.
A beautiful end to a lovely day at the Cheddar Gorge!

Great place to walk and soak up the views! About 2.25 miles around the reservoir great for walking, running and biking.

There were activities on the reservoir although only a few when we went. Lots of fishermen and a couple of wind surfers.

A lovely place where you can walk around the reservoir which is about 2 miles round.
A quiet place not commercialized and therefore relaxing with a lovely view.
No swimming is aloud but a few boats on the water.
Lovely on a sunny day

Lovely easy walk around the reservoir, although the first day was extremely windy, enough to bowl you over so we tried the walk again another day, very pleasant. Good also if you have wheelchair or pram.

Myself and my fiancée had already spent the day at cheddar gorge and the wonderful town. We decided to finish our day trip at the reservoir.

We walked the whole way around and is a lovely expanse of water surrounded by houses and livestock fields, with the rolling hills in the distance.

Met lots of other dogs and people and was a lovely way to finish the day.

Only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because we were disappointed there was nowhere for the dogs to swim (another review said there was opportunity for this).

Once we found the correct route in we had a very pleasant stroll around the reservoir. It's very flat with plenty of spots to sit & rest. No facilities so take your own drinks, especially if it's a hot day. Beautiful landscape/scenery. Lots of walkers, cyclers & runners.
Lots of different birds to spot on the water, sheep, horses & cows in the land surrounding so they encourage all dogs to be kept on leads.
A nice quiet spot for time out.

**Do not rely on SatNav to get you to the right place... As you turn into Axbridge, take the first left turning for the sailing club and there is some parking there.
