Drove into Cheddar itself and we were definitely underwhelmed. The scenery around the gorge is stunning. £5 to park is expensive and £30 for me and my son to into the caves is far too expensive, so we didn't. The shops are as you'd expect,...More

Attractive little village with stream running through it and surrounded by hills and woods. Although drizzling the day we visited Cheddar, there are plenty of interesting shops selling local cheese, cider and fudge etc to pop into in between showers. Also visitors are spoilt for...More

A beautiful, quaint village. Very friendly. Caves were amazing. As was the history of the place. Hilltop walk was bigger than people said... 3 hours not 2. Could be challenging for some. Take plenty of fluids.

We have made several visits to Cheddar gorge and it never fails to amaze us. Of course we have to take some Cheddar cheese back home with us, the chutney is delicious too

The small picturesque village lost between Mendip hills with tiny streets. There are a lot of pubs, cafes, cheddar cheese and cider shops, caves and walk route up to the hills.

Sorry, didn't notice but the large council car park is bound to have disabled spaces.
