Extremely disappointed , not acknowledged on arrival. Paid £5 for a large leaky pot of tea which was effectively a pot of hot water. Wished I had spoken up at the time but will definitely not be returning.

We had intended to stop in the cafe but maybe it was because there was nobody in there but we didn't feel very welcome so had a quick look around the shop and left. It was quite expensive so we didn't buy anything.

I am sorry you did not feel welcome or find what you were looking for at the Chocolate House. I trust another shop in the village suited you better. More

Popped in for a look around and was impressed by the array of chocolate on display and the chocolate fountain with skewers of fresh fruit and marshmallows to chose from. A tempting little cafe at the back of the shop so decided to stop for a coffee. Good coffee, the cappuccino served with real chocolate sprinkles on the top and... More

After reading about the chocolate house I had high hopes for it, we braved a huge downpour and I have to say it wasn't worth it. The 2 staff members I spoke to hadn't a clue which chocolate was which, half the selection was unavailable and less than half the shop involved chocolate it appeared to be more of a... More

I am sorry you were disappointed. Part of the problem was a trip to The Chocolate House in the heat of the summer - despite the pouring rain, which I promise had nothing to do with me. The staff you spoke to were brand new employees to deal with the volume of holiday visitors requesting primarily ice-cream. The lack of... More

Took two 13 year old in for a coffee and snack and watched the 2 ladies spoil them rotten, the kids had hot chocolate with whipped cream that came with marsh mallows and chocolate buttons, all had sandwiches to order that came with complimentary tossed salad, even an extra bowl of kettle chips for the girls. The whole experience left... More

Not quite what we were expecting. Thought there would be evidence of chocolate making on the premises but obviously brought in goodies. There was a chocolate fountain but not sure what you would do with hot, runny chocolate to take away. There was a small tea room at the back which looked very inviting. All in all a bit too... More

We have tried making chocolates on site before and have toyed with the idea of doing so again. The chocolates are currently hand made in a small factory in Minehead. Given the variety of molds and products, storage is an issue. The machinery is large and noisy. Chocolate requires undivided attention. You cannot stop the process to serve or chat... More

Visited during our day exploring Dunster Castle. The prices of tea and drinks were a lot more reasonable compared to the castle cafes. We loved the tea and milkshakes so much that we decided to revisit the next day!
