Lovely walk, fantastic view - basically what everyone else has said. We were lucky in so much we did it on a beautiful Saturday in May when the Royal Wedding was taking place and therefore for a while it was peaceful. As time went on...More

Not everyone's bag but we liked it. After the walking and climbs we did the days before this was a doddle. There wasn't too many people about when we were there and it was remarkably peaceful up the top. There is nearby parking for a...More

Long steep walk up to top, once there it has amazing views and the Tor is interesting. This is not accessible for persons in wheelchairs or advisable for those with joint problems.

Park your car in town and walk the five minutes or so towards the tor. Turn left immediately after passing the Chalice Gardens then turn right up the path towards the Tor. It’s all signposted but I know many people have missed it and gone...More

Vital Detox is set at the foot of the Tor. A glorious countryside walk along quiet country roads & farm tracks leads to the Tor. A magical place steeped in history & crossing many important laylines. A MUST see!

Okay there's an "easy" route and "less easy" route but only discovered that after scaling the summit. That said to truly appreciate the Tor you should approach from one and descend via the other. The route I chose follows a marked if haphazard footpath up...More

Parking. Isn't any. If like us we went up the tiny lane that wasn't designed for any big car. God help you if you have to reverse. We found the factory shop car park the walked up. Some steep steps and now kind on the...More

It is totally about the weather and coming down solid walking boot soles would definitely help. Not somewhere to be caught out in flip flops!

I don't think so, it's steep and the steps are a killer on the knees.
