A very nice traditional victorian park, bowling green, river bridge, thatched building and greenhouse. The greenhouse is not open very often. There are also two averys with a selection of birds, cafe and river.

Went for a day with 2 young children and it was absolutely brilliant. Parking next to the park. Sand pit, slash pad, swings, loads of picnic areas, bird average and cafe on site. Amazing picnic day we had will 100% be going again

Great town park, with attractively laid out flower birds. A stream runs through with pretty bridges over it. Lots of benches to sit and relax. Aviaries with exotic pheasants. Just over the road from the railway station and close to the centre of town.

A very pleasant city centre park, small but with a wide range of features - the river, a bowling green, flowerbeds, greenhouses, aviary, history, etc.

A beautiful spot in a fantastic location. We visited on the train and to be able to leave the station and immediately see the park was fantastic. We took a walk around the floral gardens, went down by the river and then to see the birds.

Our niece really enjoyed the play areas; there are separate sections for younger and older children, a sandpit area, splash pad and skate bowl.

Well cared-for park by the river with aviaries, glasshouses and good cafe. Part of good town centre walking trail.
