Went with a group so we were expected. It has a reasonably priced cafe, accessible toilets and an interesting museum. Enthusiasts could spend hours here. The carriages we travelled in were hauled by Bellerophon, the oldest working steam engine in the world. Whilst travelling we...More

Not the largest of railways, but well organised and great facilities. Lots of small steam and diesel engines to look at and a 40 minute round trip to enjoy. A nice afternoon out and some lovely walks in the surrounding area too. Recommended.

Hi Chris, I'm very sorry to hear this from your visit. Unfortunately, midway through our busy gala weekend we suffered from some fairly catastrophic staffing issues which resulted in the bar being closed 'until further notice' at that point. I am however pleased to say...More

An excellent railway as part of our heritage. Well worth the visit. Will certainly go again. Food and Drinks available including alcoholic, enthusiastic staff made it a worthwhile educational visit.
