I booked the VIP experience for my mums birthday, I bought the ticket in February but sadly wasn’t able to go until October due to health reasons. The park were fantastic about rearranging the date and extremely quick at responding. When we final made the trip up from Brighton, we were so excited and I have to say the experience did not disappoint.
The staff were amazing, someone was there to meet us as soon as we arrived and explained how the experience would work.
We went onto meet Danny & Maisey who were our guides, they were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Even though the weather was not on our side (it was bucketing down with rain) we still had a great time and didn’t care if we got soaked lol! it was wonderful to see the monkeys in their natural environment. Danny was extremely informative as was Maisey and they made the trip around fun & interesting we learnt a-lot about our favourite animal.
After the trip we went to the cafe and we were given two hot drinks which was exactly what we needed and the waitress Becky was so so kind she even took my coat and cardigan to dry them for me as I was soaked through. Honestly the whole trip was fantastic and the staff are amazing!!!

Very good to be able to observe the monkeys close up without disturbing them.Especially interesting to learn about them whilst they were feeding.

Really interesting place to visit. Plenty of parking, although it is quite rough underfoot. Once in the park, footpaths are good and it's pushchair/ wheelchair friendly. There are Rangers all around the park to answer questions and observe your safety. The monkeys themselves are in different troops, in different parts of the park and they come very close to you, but they are wild animals, so you can't interact with them..so be aware if you have children! The walk is not all on the flat, some inclines and it can be a bit slippy under the trees, so wear decent outdoor shoes. Takes from about 45 minutes to walk around, but if you keep your entrance ticket, you can re enter. There's a café on site offering food and drinks, a toilet block, information centre and a child's play area. Good place for all ages to visit, would recommend

Great place to spend a few hours especially if the weather is good.

We went on 17th October 2022 and arrived about 1130. Plenty of car parking.

The trail through the small forest is really nice. Very well kept with really helpful and knowledgeable guides pretty much everywhere you look. The guides are rightly but politely firm with guests who encroach too much on the natural lifestyle of the monkeys. All the guides have a really nice way about them and clearly enjoy working there.

The monkeys themselves are amazing to watch in a natural environment. There are approx 140 monkeys in total.

My only negative of the place is the cafe. Prices are absurd for very average food with limited availability and no veggie options for wraps or sandwiches and the system is a joke.

Queue to order food. Queue again to use the coffee machine to get the coffee you’ve already paid for by which time your food is going cold. Queue again to HEAT THE CHEESE in the microwave on the cheesy chips you paid £4.50 for! Great when you have 3 plates of them that you have to stand around heating up in the one budget microwave on the side. I have never ever in my life ordered food and been expected to queue again to use the microwave to heat up the cheese on the chips. Absolute farce of an idea.

When you’re paying £30 for 3 lots of chips, a sausage roll, a kids lunchbox and a couple of coffees, I would at least expect it to be ready at the same time.

In summary. Lovely place to spend a few hours. Brilliant staff, but take a picnic and avoid the cafe!

Hello, thank you for your feedback we're glad to hear you enjoyed our forest! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our café. When we compare our prices to other similar attractions we find ours to be fairly reasonable. In regards to the queues, we will review this to ensure queue time when within our café is as minimal as possible, apologies that you found it too much on your visit. Many thanks, Trentham Monkey Forest 🐵🥰

A lovely place with great, open, accessible cafe and play area facilities. Please be aware that it's hard work for wheelchair users! Warning signs should be up about the steepness of some paths!

I expected it to be much bigger with more monkeys - it only takes about and hour at most to walk around.

Really helpful, knowledgeable staff, well-looked after, healthy, happy animals.

It would be hard to fill a full day here so plan for just a few hours.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. Unfortunately, we cannot change the landscape of the forest, apologies for that. There are some signs relating to the path, sorry that these weren't clear enough. The path is short to maintain the freedom element for the monkeys but to also allow visitors to see many monkeys. We find that the 3/4 mile path is the ideal distance for this balance. Many thanks, Trentham Monkey Forest 🐵🥰

This was a great place, a lot of play areas for the children, and picnic areas, as well as a good cafe, very interesting, the monkeys are super, we managed to see them at feeding time, the ranger gave a talk about them, while he was feeding the monkeys.
Highly recommend

Visited here on a Sunday afternoon and had a good time. It isn't huge, we spent about an hour in the money forest part itself and then a couple of hours more having a picnic, letting the kids use the play equipment etc. You could probably easily combine this with a visit to Trentham Gardens next door in one day.

We saw lots of monkeys on the walk round, including the babies! Staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable and a credit to the place.

We had some muffins from the cafe and they were delicious. Plenty of parking and everywhere was tidy and well kept. Would recommend.
