An excellent piece of architecture, with a superb roof.The glass is Victorian except one 17thC. piece [Susannah and the Elders].Leavephotography until early afternoon so that sun is off the glass.Also good lighting for the facade.See 2 angels above chancel arch.

We enjoyed our visit to the Abbey. It is wonderful to stroll through the ruins and to see how this building used to be years ago. Most of the walls are very low now but the layout remains. The gardens are very pretty although prettier...More

These are some lovely old ruins, in some nice gardens, and well worth a (combined) visit. There a selection of useful information boards, and it's not hard to see, and be impressed by, the grandeur of the original building. Very close to the venue of...More

The abbey ruins are in lovely surroundings and there is a description about what the ruins were too.Lovely flower garden in the summer.

This place always amazes me, considering the detail that went into it, when it was built. nice add-on to the gardens

Really great to be able to walk among the ruins rather than just see them from afar. It was great to be touched by the ghost of this once immense building and gleam a sense of what has been lost to history.

To be fair it was October so no flowers out but would probably look a lot nicer in the summer. They have an aviary which lots of children seemed to be enjoying.

And read the history! Beautiful backdrop anytime. Read about the signers of the Magna Carta. Well worth a stroll through the ruins.
