My mother hired the function room at the top of the tower at Denbies Wine Estate to celebrate her 80th birthday, and I have to say everything was wonderful. The room is amazing, with far reaching views over the surrounding countryside and vineyards, the food was well prepared, and looked beautiful, served by efficient and friendly staff. There was a... Booked up for the train ride and Santas cellar grotto. Children aged 9 and 12 so last time we do something like this. Starts off by meeting Santas elves and getting on the train being pulled up the hillside. Xmas music and decorations so felt really festive! About 20 mins ride with wonderful views over Denbies. Back down and into... More

Went for after work celebration with 30+ people. 3 course meal and drinks plus casino evening booked by us. Food of good standard although not huge portions and wine surprisingly good for English Red. Good bar only spoilt by lack of draft real ale but otherwise good service and helpful staff. Would recommend for similar private functions

I've been wine tasting before in many different countries and the only thing that stood out was the estate it was in, just beautiful English country side. It was informative but not very personal I felt talked to not connected at all. The actual tour was short and the could probably offer more wine as they would like you ultimately... More

We were a group of 7 ladies who went for a wine tour, lunch in the conservatory restaurant and then a stroll round the shop. It was a lovely day. We went mid November and it may have been better to make it a few weeks earlier when wine production was underway. Even so it was a good tour. We... More

Had fish and chips in the atrium/conservatory. The fish was lukewarm and the chips and vegetables cold. The place was busy but with only one girl at the checkout who also had to serve teas/coffees. There was a wait to pay for my lunch which continued to get colder whilst waiting This is unfortunate as it is a nice place... More

I have eaten in the main restaurant area and the dining room (I'm not sure if it's still open, and if it is I think it was limited day opening). It's a lovely environment, with a great gift shop right next to the restaurant with a great range of gift and household ideas. The food is always reliable (although the... More

I visited on a wet day, so didn't see it at its best. Good car park facilities, near the entrance . Went to the atrium café for lunch. The menu was fairly limited and rather canteen style but satisfactory and reasonably priced. The setting was pleasant and a good place for an outing with older people

Denbies estate is beautiful - it's a shame we visited on a grey and wet day. I would love to go back and walk around the vineyard in the summer. We booked onto the 4pm wine and food tour, expecting it to be really busy but it was just me and the hubby. I expected the cinema bit to be... More

I met friends at Denbies, we had coffee and then lunch in the Atrium/conservatory by the shop. The scones and Belgium buns were just about edible but definitely on the dry side. I had soup for lunch which was lukewarm and my friend's pork chop was tough. All in all, a very disappointing experience. We have met there on previous... More
