NEVIS RANGE Mountain Experience is in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, 7 miles north of Fort William. The mountain gondola will transport you to 650m on Aonach Mor where you'll find the Snowgoose restaurant & bar with awesome views, mountain trails, kids play area, and the Mountain discovery Centre (summer only). In the winter, we're open for sledging, skiing and boarding. There's biking for all in Leanachan forest, plus bike wash, bike hire and a skills park. The NEVIS downhill track (with gondola uplift) hosts the Mountian Bike World Cup each year and there's the new red Route opening in summer 2009. We hope you love it as much as we do!

I went there to remind myself how to ski and learn more. Compared to going to the Alps, it costs less and that was the motive. It turned out to be a lot more. Firstly the teaching staff were very good and the classes were...More

Visited here on 11th Feb. Plenty of car parking which is free in the winter. The trip up in the gondola cost about £40 for the 3 of us which I felt was a bit pricey. When you get to the top the views are...More

We were extremely lucky to arrive during a period of the best and deepest snow for years. We took our 6 year old for his first ski trip and booked lessons with the Nevis Range team. They were great and got him up and going...More

Absolutely loved this. The setting and scenery is amazing. We took the gondola and it was breathtaking. The snow was awesome and it was great at the top. We had a hit chocolate and a quick walk round then went back. Well worth the money.

Went up on the gondola from the car park. Wife not keen on heights but as the gondola is enclosed was able to brave it out. No snow at car park level but plenty at the top. Don't ski, we went for the short walks...More

45 minutes further north than Glencoe Ski but worth every minute! Great runs and helpful staff. Only 10 mins from Fort William centre, so easy to get there.

I have looked on Google Maps, and that indicates a distance of 5.2 miles, which would take I hour and 41 minutes to walk.
