Highlighted in the main news when a fire devastated this old property over a year ago , should have done my homework I guess before we planned our visit. Very little to see , and facilities limited , as you can see from the pictures...More

After the devastating fire a few years ago, visitors are now able to take a sneak peek at the work that's being completed to try and restore the site to its former glory. You're not able to see much of the building understandably, but it gives...More

Popped by quickly to see the house, was a little disappointed we couldn't see the outside of the house at all as it was completely covered by scaffolding but it's fair enough as they are working on restoring the house. It started raining in there...More

The fire two years ago was devastating and it's taken this long to clear the débris and shortlist architects to mastermind the restoration. There's little to see in reality, but the brief hard-hat tour of three ground-floor rooms shows the scale of the challenge and...More

The site is now re-opened, but the house is still a mainly burnt out shell. You can get tickets to visit the inside to see the damage done, but we just visited to see the gardens as an add on after visiting Hatchlands Park The...More

Hi Paul Thanks for your positive feedback on our garden - I'll let our gardeners know. It is small, but a lovely tranquil spot (especially under that big oak tree, with a picnic blanket in hand!). Great to hear you made the most of the...More

This is a different kind of visit - to a house that was gutted by fire in 2015. You can book a 'hard hat' tour which takes you inside the shell so you can see the extent of the damage. A guide takes you through...More

Having seen the very negative review I was surprised by the helpfulness of the man who answered the phone. He quickly went off to check on stocks of the item I wanted. When I arrived at the centre the staff were helpful, especially the man...More

Hi Elisabeth Thanks for taking the time to review, although the garden centre and their café are separate from Clandon Park. It sounds as though you had a good experience, which I'm sure they will be pleased to hear. Kind Regards Clandon Park.

You can book on - line to have a guided tour of the burnt shell,, which is actually more interesting than you might think. As if you can access the site the N T are intending to increase the areas to visit as it all...More

This is a beautiful building with marble flooring and some outstanding features. Sadly due to fire this property is not open to visitors at the time. Extensive repairs are to be undertaken.
