Booked hospitality for 4 on the 24th March, with elderly (not to old relatives), one with disability. From arrival, the welcome from staff was friendly and warm, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities in the Parkview Suite were first class, with staff always on hand to offer assistance and advice. The meal was excellent and good value for money.... More

The facilities are no where near as good as York racecourse which shares the same grade a status, York is cheaper to get in, better by far in terms of facilities for food and beverages, toilets and outdoor cover (if it rains) Come on owners at Newcastle racecourse, spend some of your profits before people start going further afield for... We visited the racecourse for a private charity event and we really enjoyed the day. We were being hosted on the main second floor suite, which has a terrific view of the course and the city of Newcastle in the background. You'd also get this from the main upper terrace. The food (carvery) was excellent and the staff were outstanding.... More

Great afternoon at the races starting with a tour one hour before the first race of the afternoon. Helped me understand what goes on behind the scenes. We saw jockeys weigh in, and our kind guide explained the weights that were added to saddles. Bit chilly but very exciting watching the races live. Good food outlets too. Caught the courtesy... Visited Saturday for wider Chase day. Booked the dine and view restaurant. We had a really good day and this shows with my score of 4. If the score was for the racecourse then a 3 would've been given. As for the restaurant the service was impeccable. Our table waitress for the day Anna was very good. We visit several... More

It was a very low class course , not impressed with the amenities at all , think the word that comes to mind is "chav" and that sums up the place & a nightmare getting back to Newcastle afterwards

Good viewing and friendly staff. Places to eat a bit restricted as a mid-week meeting. Courtesy shuttle bus from Regent Centre worked OK

Road trip to see our horse and to visit my poor uni student daughter. Always a delight to visit the toon. Lots of parking, good racing, staff friendly and helpful. Great history and wonderful old heritage building merged with new. Horse ran well. 3rd. Owners bar friendly and food good. I would definitely consider for the summer evening or floodlight... More
