The Tyne bridge can't be missed. It spans high up across the river Tyne adding to the marvellous charm of Newcastle city, a reminder of the history of this magnificent city. Enjoy a walk across in good weather and enjoy the amazing views while seagulls fly carefree around you! A must!

Walked along the Quayside and enjoyed looking at all of the bridges along the way. The bridges are worth looking in the day and at night.

I pass this bridge a lot and is amazing to look at. It's also very easy to get to and can drive or even walk over the bridge. It's also a great way to get in and out of Newcastle and a great view of the river as you cross.

Not sure how you rate a bridge, it evokes a sense of pride and brings back memories which are forever imprinted on my heart.

Well if this is supposed to be an attraction then the local council need to take their fingers out of their own rear ends and get a serious move on and clean it, I walked under it and the amount of deposits left by the nesting seagulls is nothing short of disgusting, surely they can stop them nesting under the... A great piece of architecture that has been allowed to descend into a mire of cigarette butts and excrement. The approach from the north on foot means that one has to run a gauntlet of heaps of bird droppings, cigarette butts (something that merits a feature on Newcastle's coat of arms given the millions of dog ends that characterise the... The Tyne Bridge symbolises Newcastle as much as Tower Bridge does London or the Harbour Bridge Sydney and in its way it is every bit as picturesque. Come in to Newcastle by rail and you pass it on your right - come in to Newcastle by car and you can drive over it. You can stroll across it or under... More
