I had early morning walks this side of the city and it turned out to be just perfect, for walking with less people around. nice views from the river banks.

We stayed in an apartment on the Quayside. It was a lovely area to walk in . There were tables and chairs in some parts in order for you to rest and take in the views. Recommended

All the bridges; Sage theatre; The Baltic Art Gallery and of course The Tyne are on immediate view. The Millennium Bridge lifted while we were there and we thought this was for the convenience of river traffic. It's a tourist attraction but good to watch...More

Hi Kim ! The Royal Quays Marina where the cruise ships dock is about 10 miles from the Quayside ! So walking is not an option . Google the site ''whatsinport '' and you will get the info. about how to get downtown... More
