Although Stratford is a compact town and most of the attractions are in walking distance, the tour is well worth taking particularly, if like us, you leave the car at home. We joined the bus at the first stop at the Tourist Information centre, which is also worth a visit. The commentary provided is excellent giving a flavour of Tudor... More

My family and I enjoyed our bus tour which we found to be very interesting and informative. We were also very pleased that the tour is dog friendly, indeed our dog was given treats when we booked our tickets. The complete tour in total lasts about one hour, however you are able to get off and back on the tour... More

My daughter and I did the bus tour together for the first time. We didn't get to all the attractions but the tickets are valid for a year so we are planning a return visit. The bus is comfortable and the audio tour is in lots of languages. It tells you some really interesting things like where the expression "a... More

Whenever we are in a new place, we first do a hop-on/hop off bus tour to get our bearings. We thoroughly enjoyed this one too - and actually did it twice. It was quite cold but that did not detract from sitting on top to see everything, and only a couple of other passengers so we were able to move... More

Although Stratford upon Avon is a small town, the red bus is very handy. It goes around the town centre, to Shottery where Anne Hathaway's Cottage is and Wilmcote where Mary Arden Farm is (closed for winter). The company is proveded with headphones and a very informative record will tell you everything about the houses, Shakespeare's time and the Royal... More

There is so much history and culture to learn about in Stratford upon Avon - the best way is by bus. A few attractions are quite a distance from the town centre (for example, Anne Hathaway's Cottage). Perfect chance to sit back and take it all in on the open top bus. It was a little chilly on top deck... More

Expensive and difficult to take in the sights when the bus driver was hell bent in breaking the land speed record. The interior of the bus was like the inside of a dustbin. There was a foul stink that my wife discovered was due to dog excrement under one of the seats. This was pointed out to the driver who... More

Took the 10am bus round the whole route to get a feel for the place and decide where we were going to go. When I asked if there was a timetable the driver said to look at your watch when you got off, and it would be the same time last each hour that it would return. As one passed... More

This is a standard Hop On and Hop Off bus tour. It covers all the principal tourist places in and around Stratford upon Avon and the circular tour takes about one hour. However if you wish to visit any of the Shakespeare related sites – for example Anne Hathaway’s Cottage - then you must allow extra time. Seems obvious but....as... More

We spent 2 weeks on a narrowboat cruising the Severn River and then headed to Stratford for a couple days. We had been here 2 years ago, but didn't take the bus tour option. We did this time and it a great way to see the Shakespeare sites that are not right in the city. The buses run all day... More
