Very impressed with the new entrance and displays. The actors in the courtyard who will recite from a play of your choosing was a delight as were the costumed room guides.

We have been here a few times before nothing has really changed but nice to go back in time for a bit of English heritage

My last visit here was in 1994. It certainly has changed and for the better. Back then it was pretty much just the house, but now it includes a beautiful garden/courtyard with live performances and an impressive historical education center. The video at the beginning of the visit was my favorite, incorporating Shakespeare performances from all over the world.

This is a lovely place to spend a sunny Sunday! There are so many things to see and it's just amazing wondering about and taking in all the history the place has to offer. Try planning your lunch ahead as we had a bit of a problem finding a place but there are quite a few lovely pubs and cafes... More

A most enjoyable history lesson covering: why beds were smaller, why there were four poster beds and many other interesting facts.

The house is part of the package of tickets. We downloaded the tripsvisitbritain voucher which gave us 30% off the £26.95 per adult. It made it worth the value. In the centre of Stratford Town Centre it is easy to get to.

A very interesting place to visit. It's a refreshing change to visit a historic humble house rather than a castle or mansion. It gives a different perspective of the past and the humble beginnings of William Shakespeare. The staff were very informative and offered much information without prompting.

Shakespeare's birthplace is a very well done exhibit and house. Good information about The Bard and the house has been beautifully restored. The tour guides are knowledgeable. On the day we visited students from a local school were assisting with the tours and were so great with their information. They were having a good time talking about Shakespeare and the... More

Our docents were 11 to 12 adorable girls and boys who were students from a nearby academy. A novel and fun twist on visiting historical places. Come to see Shakespeare's birth place as it must have appeared in the 1500's. Actors delivering lines on demand from his plays add to the enjoyment
